Wall Heating

The fact that so many new properties are built without chimneys is a sign of the way in which times have changed. Many of us now demand efficient heating systems and have come to expect a boiler when we move into a new property.
This is understandable, but changes in the way in which we look at central heating systems are beginning to have quite an impact now too. Once seen as being incredibly practical and a "must have" part of any home, some people are increasingly concerned by the limitations of these systems.
Are these limitations obvious in practical terms? Not so much - what concerns many home owners is the style element of things.
Boilers and radiators might well be practical, but it's clear that they don't look great. Wouldn't it be better if they could be removed and replaced with something a lot more stylish and fashionable? Such a solution would make our homes more pleasant environments in which to spend time - it would also allow us to create something that would really impress friends, family, guests and visitors.
So what's the answer to the problem? For most of us, it's not cost effective to strip out the entire gas central heating system and to look to replace it - this would cost too much in terms of products, materials and labour.
An alternative approach that has become increasingly popular has been to look to replace radiators in a single room of the home - this is most frequently being done in what estate agents might terms as reception rooms. Typically, many people focus on the living room.
This makes sense since it is usually the room that is used most often for entertaining and is also an area where you might spend a lot of time as a family. Having a space that you can enjoy is likely to be important to you.
By taking out the radiators from one room and replacing them with something that looks considerably better, you can achieve a lot without blowing your budget.
In this situation, wall mounted electric fires are an obvious solution. They sit flush against the wall, meaning that it doesn't matter if you don't already have a fireplace and chimney - they offer a flueless solution.
